About the Role

As an Associate Project Engineer you will join a team that works on HVDC power transmission links. The department is responsible for control and protection hardware design, documentation, testing, installation supervision, and commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide. You will implement control and protection hardware solutions for HVDC plants, prepare design specifications, overview diagrams, and concept clarifications, and take part in or lead design review meetings to identify and resolve errors. Responsibilities also include cubicle design, integration of hardware components, creation of bills of material and terminal diagrams, coordination with manufacturers, cable list preparation, and support during functional performance tests and site commissioning. You must ensure deliverables meet project schedules, comply with regulations, and uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values. • Implement HVDC control and protection hardware solutions. • Prepare design specifications, overview diagrams, and concept clarifications. • Lead or participate in design review meetings and drive corrective actions. • Design and integrate hardware components into cubicles. • Generate bills of material and terminal diagrams for equipment. • Coordinate with cubicle manufacturers and conduct inspections. • Create cable lists and termination schedules. • Support functional performance testing and site commissioning. • Ensure deliverables meet project schedules and comply with regulations.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and has 2–6 years of experience in power generation EBoP or substation engineering of HV/EHV projects. Required skills include proficiency with Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD, Electrical Engineering Base/ELCAD, and Hidraw, as well as strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under tight schedules. • Hold a diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. • Possess 2–6 years experience in power generation EBoP or HV/EHV substation projects. • Proficient with Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD, ELCAD, and Hidraw. • Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
