About the Role

• Perform manual activities such as moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, fire safety standby, and other tasks as instructed • Climb onto structures and scaffolding • Operate rigging and hoisting devices (chokers, chain falls, come‑alongs) to position equipment and materials • Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and repair of worn parts • Follow directions from supervisor • Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools • Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, occasional work from platforms/scaffolding with fall protection

What You Bring

This position involves a wide range of manual tasks on industrial construction sites, including equipment handling, digging, fire safety standby, and other duties directed by supervisors or journeymen. The employee must be capable of climbing structures, using rigging and hoisting devices, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment. The role requires reliable transportation, the ability to work any day of the week, and adherence to Zachry’s safety values and regulations. No direct reports are assigned to this position. The job demands significant physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights in various weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment. No certifications or licenses are mandatory. • Use fire extinguisher • Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools • Reliable transportation and ability to work 7 days as needed • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools • Good problem‑solving abilities, manual dexterity, and reading comprehension • Team player with good communication skills • Preferred: Zachry ROF’ed or former employee, basic mechanical knowledge, industrial construction site experience, formal/technical education • Stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift up to 50 lb; communicate verbally and audibly • Work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE • Required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, respirator, hi‑vis vest, leather gloves, and steel‑toed boots • No certifications or licenses required
