About the Role

The Labor Foreman 2 supports construction activities on‑site, operating tools, coordinating concrete work, demolition, material handling, and traffic control while supervising a crew. The role executes tasks personally, leads the crew toward production goals, and aligns all activities with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values. • Demonstrate and mentor safety practices to maintain an injury‑free environment. • Operate tools to complete assigned construction tasks and maintain equipment. • Track and submit labor hours and timecards. • Lead and monitor crew safety, security, and production goals. • Coordinate material deliveries and communicate with suppliers. • Document activities, crew sizes, and production data. • Participate in safety meetings, hazard analyses, and SIMS reporting. • Provide on‑the‑job guidance and support team learning. • Manage labor crews for project portions or small projects. • Create, communicate, and achieve labor crew production targets. • Coordinate work for larger crews and other trade foremen. • Plan crew size, schedule, materials, meetings, and manpower for project components. • Allocate and manage internal and external construction resources. • Develop and enforce safety plans through training and toolbox talks. • Support quality assurance/control planning for assigned tasks. • Apply Lean principles such as daily stand‑ups and pull planning. • Assist with materials, other costs (MOC) and equipment analysis. • Apply Lean processes, assess labor productivity, and lead crews to meet goals. • Build collaborative relationships internally and externally.

What You Bring

• Perform accurate, timely work with strong verbal and written communication. • Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable of organizational resources. • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; vocational/technical degree preferred; relevant experience considered. • Experience: Minimum 3 years commercial construction and 2 years field supervision. • Must lift up to 50 lb, tolerate hot/cold conditions, and work flexible hours.
