About the Role
Job Overview: This role will be part of Hubbell’s PCX business which serves the fast‑growing data center market with product offerings including modular data centers, power equipment centers, custom integrated switchboards, and pre‑manufactured indoor/outdoor electrical distribution centers. The Plant Cost Controller is responsible for financial reporting activities for PCX, supporting Hubbell’s Power Distribution strategic business unit team to accurately reflect the financial performance of the business. The role has overall responsibility for financial reporting, cost accounting, and the control environment, including audit for the entity, reports to the Director of Finance, and partners with Operations to provide analytical support for routine decisions and strategic objectives. • Lead a timely, accurate month‑end close process in alignment with segment and corporate controllership. • Act as the primary contact for PCX businesses’ financial reporting. • Manage billing activities for external customers. • Provide finance support for local sales and operations teams. • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with Hubbell policies, U.S. GAAP, and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements. • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation. • Prepare monthly journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and perform variance analysis. • Develop annual standard costing including manufacturing labor and burden rates. • Coordinate and process annual standard cost rolls. • Assist in execution of annual physical inventories. • Assist in the verification of fixed assets. • Maintain responsibility for routine calculation of accruals. • Effectively communicate financial information to non‑financial professionals. • Work with project managers to accurately record capital purchases and associated depreciation. • Provide support for preparing and loading the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts. • Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of the close process through procedural enhancements and use of financial systems and tools. • Complete ad hoc financial information requests and special projects as needed in SAP, OneStream, and Blackline.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA, CMA, MSA/MBA is a plus. • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost‑control principles, and GAAP. • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a global, multi‑site manufacturing organization. • Operational (cost) accounting experience. • Excellent working knowledge of transactional accounting and internal controls, SOX. • Experience with SAP, OneStream, and Blackline (desired). • Expert proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel V‑lookup, pivot tables, Power BI, PowerPoint). • Experience in continuous‑improvement initiatives and implementing finance and accounting best practices. • Highly organized with ability to work under tight time constraints. • Self‑starter who can work independently and manage time to meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills and ability to enlist cooperation across functions.
