About the Role
The role supports the growing practice by delivering site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production. Projects span public and private sectors and include land planning, urban redevelopment, mixed‑use and residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, infrastructure, parks, and community facilities. The team member will handle a variety of design tasks while receiving on‑the‑job and formal training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interaction. • Provide site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic/technical production. • Deliver diverse projects for public and private sectors, including land planning, urban redevelopment, mixed‑use and residential developments, streetscapes, design guidelines, infrastructure, parks, and community facilities. • Perform design tasks while receiving on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. • Create freehand illustrations and renderings. • Submit a portfolio or work samples for interview consideration.

What You Bring
Kimley‑Horn’s Nashville, Tennessee office is looking for an experienced Landscape Designer/Architect with at least two years of relevant experience to join its Landscape Architecture team. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and have two or more years of experience. Required skills include strong AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and proficiency with graphic software such as Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint, as well as freehand illustration and rendering. Excellent written and oral communication, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a portfolio of work samples are also essential. • Hold a B.S. or M.S. in Landscape Architecture with 2+ years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate strong AutoCAD and Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency. • Use graphic software such as Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint. • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally; maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
