About the Role

Responsibilities include performing maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and using shaft‑alignment and vibration tools to diagnose pumps, fans, compressors, and other equipment. Travel of 10‑20% may be required to support branch customers, installations, and repairs. Servicemen act as trusted advisors, providing the highest level of service to resolve facility inefficiencies, offering solutions at commissioning and aftermarket service, and delivering quotes and recommendations, including upselling opportunities. They must communicate problems, causes, and corrective actions clearly in writing and verbally. • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and pumps. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using shaft‑alignment tools and vibration equipment. • Provide customer service by troubleshooting, quoting, and recommending efficiency solutions and upselling opportunities. • Travel 10‑20% to support branch customers, installations, and repairs. • Participate in Service Technical Academy certification and Service Plus Rewards program.

What You Bring

The role is for skilled HVAC Mechanics with practical experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, or mechanical equipment service. Mechanics must have hands‑on experience with light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment and may need to pass an exam to demonstrate special skills. Work is limited to commercial HVACR service, and may involve partnering with journeymen to repair centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers. Required qualifications include three or more years of commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience, proficiency with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing, and the ability to use vibration equipment. Candidates must be a member (or willing to join) the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, hold a universal EPA refrigerant license, appropriate state/local licenses, and a valid driver’s license. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and digital communication skills, and a self‑starter attitude are essential. • Maintain safety standards and hold a universal EPA refrigerant license, applicable state/local licenses, and a valid driver’s license. • Minimum three years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience and membership (or willingness to join) the United Association.
