About the Role

• Own end‑to‑end app‑layer integration, ensuring feature readiness, regression stability, performance KPIs and UX validation. • Serve as technical liaison between Qualcomm engineering groups, Google Chrome OS teams, and OEM partners to coordinate debugging and hand‑offs. • Lead first‑level triage of app crashes, UI freezes, multimedia, performance and sensor/connectivity regressions, providing root‑cause analysis. • Validate system‑level experiences such as app launch time, resource utilization, concurrency, always‑connected and multi‑window behavior, and create targeted test suites. • Manage release readiness by tracking feature KPIs, conducting qualification, analyzing bug trends, monitoring stability/ANR metrics, and supporting field/OEM issues. • Perform hands‑on debugging with logcat, dmesg, bug reports, QXDM, Perfetto/Systrace, and conduct crash/ANR triage. • Coordinate multi‑component integration across global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • app integration
  • technical liaison
  • crash triage
  • system validation
  • release management
  • debugging tools

What You Bring

The candidate must have strong knowledge of the Android app layer, AOSP components and system services, along with hands‑on debugging experience using tools such as logcat, dmesg, bug reports, QXDM and Perfetto/Systrace. A solid understanding of app lifecycle, UI frameworks, Android performance tuning, and SoC‑framework interactions is required, as well as experience coordinating multi‑component integration with global engineering teams. Preferred qualifications include exposure to Chrome OS, ARC++ or the Chrome AL compute stack, experience with Hamoa‑class SoCs (NPU/GPU scheduling, CPU clusters, drivers), knowledge of multimedia pipelines (camera, audio, video), familiarity with power and performance KPIs for compute devices, and a background working with Google/Android ecosystem partners. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Android app layer, AOSP components and system services. • Understand app lifecycle, UI frameworks, Android performance tuning, and SoC‑framework interactions. • Experience with Chrome OS, ARC++ or Chrome AL compute stack (preferred). • Familiarity with Hamoa‑class SoCs, including NPU/GPU scheduling and driver development (preferred). • Knowledge of multimedia pipelines for camera, audio and video (preferred). • Awareness of power and performance KPIs for compute devices (preferred). • Background collaborating with Google and Android ecosystem partners (preferred).
