About the Role
The role covers pre‑ and post‑contract duties such as preparing cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variations and final accounts, as well as conducting feasibility studies and producing cost plans. It also includes managing the tendering process, delivering accurate financial reporting and valuations, and interfacing with clients and consultants throughout all project stages. Additional responsibilities involve handling post‑contract cost variances, change control, cost‑risk analysis, value engineering input, and negotiating final accounts. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of the wider team by sharing experience with junior staff. • Prepare cost estimates, manage procurement and tendering, and handle contract administration, variations, and final accounts. • Conduct feasibility studies and develop comprehensive cost plans. • Lead the tendering process, including pre‑qualification, tender list creation, preliminaries, analysis, reporting, and contract document preparation. • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and valuations. • Interface with clients and consultants at every project stage. • Manage post‑contract cost variances and oversee change‑control procedures. • Perform cost‑risk analysis, support value engineering, and negotiate final accounts. • Mentor junior team members and share expertise across the wider team.

What You Bring
• Hold a proven track record of high‑quality cost management/quantity surveying across the project lifecycle. • Possess a professional qualification (e.g., RICS) or equivalent degree/HNC. • Demonstrate ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
