About the Role
In this role the individual will support structural design and analysis, collaborate across disciplines, contribute to BIM and construction administration, and engage in site observations and field reporting, helping deliver innovative and resilient built‑environment solutions. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design team to develop concepts for superstructures and investigate existing structures. • Conduct analyses, develop design options, and assist in preparing construction drawings, reports, cost estimates, and specifications. • Assist in structural design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures, including repair, retrofit, or rehabilitation of existing or historic structures. • Prepare engineering calculations in conformance with applicable codes (ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI). • Solve complex problems with creativity and a commitment to continuous learning. • Perform routine engineering assignments using 3D analysis software, hand calculations, and standard techniques. • Work independently on small projects or support senior engineers on larger projects. • Direct BIM, administrative, and technical personnel; self‑perform BIM work as needed. • Review shop drawings, respond to requests for information, and handle construction administration tasks. • Participate in site observations, prepare field observation reports, and conduct facility condition assessments.

The Building Engineering Services (BES) group in MN/WI seeks a motivated Structural EIT or Design Coordinator, offering early‑career professionals the chance to work on diverse projects across healthcare, civic, tech, commercial, water, and light‑industrial sectors, many in high‑seismic areas, while developing new technical skills under experienced mentors. • Master's degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis (preferred). • 2–4 years of experience preferred; entry‑level candidates considered. • Candidates without EIT will hold the title "Coordinator" and are expected to obtain EIT for career progression. • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Bentley RAM Structural System, and/or STAAD. • Prior structural design experience (internship or full‑time) is a plus. • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (required). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, STAAD, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software.
