About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 (FM Tech 1) performs maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and other building systems following standard operating procedures, manufacturer specifications and safety policies. The role focuses on routine and preventive maintenance tasks and does not include supervisory responsibilities. The technician works closely with supervisors and the Work Control team to complete duties accurately and efficiently, keeping facilities safe, functional and in top condition. Core duties include routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems, execution of tasks assigned by supervisors, documentation and closure of work orders in the CMMS, and strict adherence to safety policies. The technician also ensures accurate time and task reporting for tracking and billing. • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems. • Execute tasks assigned by supervisors or Work Control and document work accurately. • Respond to, complete, and close work order requests in the CMMS, reporting time and tasks for tracking and billing. • Follow all C&W Services safety policies and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have at least one year of relevant facilities‑maintenance experience, and possess general knowledge of tools, building‑maintenance procedures and industrial equipment. Strong written and mathematical skills, a valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel between sites are required. Preferred experience includes knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems. The position demands the ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders and lift up to 50 lb, as well as regular use of a computerized maintenance system. Work may be performed in warehouse or industrial settings with fluctuating temperatures and requires movement between departments and facilities throughout the day. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of facilities‑maintenance experience. • Demonstrate general knowledge of tools, building‑maintenance procedures, and industrial equipment. • Possess strong written and mathematical skills; hold a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; be willing to travel between sites. • Preferred: experience or knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems. • Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and lift up to 50 lb; regularly use a computerized maintenance system.
