Operate and set up plastic extrusion lines on second shift.

About the Role
• Set up extrusion line to meet customer specifications and maintain tolerances. • Select, position, and secure dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures. • Inspect and measure work-piece dimensions with calipers or gauges. • Perform minor machine maintenance and equipment cleaning. • Tear down, clean, and set up extrusion dies and downstream equipment. • Stand or walk continuously for full shift.

What You Bring
The Plastics Extrusion Operator at Mercury Plastics follows established training parameters to proficiently operate extrusion lines, handling machine adjustments, material specifications, part identification, and cutting instructions. • Prior plastics extrusion experience preferred. • Ability to perform basic math operations and calculate averages. • Proficient in reading complex graphics, tables, and SPC charts. • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills. • Willingness to obtain forklift certification and work overtime. • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb. • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Benefits
This full-time position is on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 11 pm.
