About the Role

In this position you will act as an internal creative leader and primary liaison between advertising agencies, external consultants, and internal teams. You will develop, design, and produce digital and print content that aligns with Xcel Energy’s strategic marketing priorities while helping to build internal creative capabilities for the Brand team. • Oversee and evolve brand governance and design standards for cohesive brand strategy. • Develop, design, and produce digital, video, and print content supporting strategic marketing priorities. • Consult on ad and media briefings to ensure creative consistency with brand strategy and product goals. • Direct and manage complex, multifaceted projects and programs. • Identify and pursue creative opportunities, mobilizing internal and agency resources to address client challenges. • Manage budget and financial responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications or a related field, and at least five years of brand marketing experience that includes agency work. Candidates must have deep knowledge of brand, advertising and promotion principles, be well‑versed in broadcast, print, out‑of‑home, digital, social and sponsorship tactics, and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across marketing and communications channels. • Maintain thorough knowledge of Xcel Energy’s business, products, markets, trends, and organizational dynamics. • BA in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience. • Minimum five years of advertising, communications, or brand marketing experience, including agency exposure. • In‑depth understanding of brand, advertising, and promotion principles. • Working knowledge of agency disciplines, processes, and workflow. • Expertise in tactical branding across broadcast, print, out‑of‑home, digital, social, and promotions. • Strong collaboration experience across marketing, brand, and communications channels. • Preferred: degree in Fine Arts or Design and extensive multi‑medium design skills (video, digital, print). • Excellent written and verbal communication; clear, concise presentations. • Ability to adapt to change, juggle multiple tight‑deadline projects, and anticipate problems with innovative solutions. • Proven capability to build trusted relationships with clients, peers, and agency personnel. • Leadership skills for proactive conflict resolution and team guidance. • Experience creating motion graphics or animation using Premiere and After Effects.
