About the Role

The manager will lead medium to large‑scale industrial or advanced manufacturing projects from concept through completion, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating multidisciplinary teams such as architects, structural engineers, and AutoCAD/Revit technicians. Key responsibilities include developing system concepts, preparing design drawings and specifications for mechanical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems, performing systems analysis and cost estimates, managing manpower budgets, supporting business development efforts, and representing the firm at client and industry events. • Lead medium to large industrial/advanced manufacturing projects from concept through completion. • Ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget. • Develop and evaluate system concepts to determine optimal design solutions. • Prepare design drawings and specifications for mechanical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and Revit technicians. • Interface with clients to review requirements, manage changes, and deliver project outcomes. • Conduct systems analysis, produce reports, studies, and cost estimates. • Manage manpower budgets and update forecasts based on scope changes. • Support business development through proposals and presentations for industrial projects. • Represent the firm at client and industry events to promote pipeline development.

WSP is seeking an Industrial / Advanced Manufacturing Project Manager for its Austin, TX office, with the option to work in Houston or Dallas. The role supports the Texas/Louisiana Property and Buildings team and focuses on delivering projects that meet client objectives and solve their challenges. Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 7+ years of industrial or advanced manufacturing project management experience, strong knowledge of building systems design, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with project management tools and design software. Preferred credentials include a PE license or PMP certification, experience with advanced manufacturing facilities, and familiarity with sustainability and energy‑efficient design standards. • Required: Bachelor’s in Engineering, 7+ years project management experience, strong building systems knowledge, excellent communication, proficiency with PM tools and design software. • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification, experience with advanced manufacturing facilities, knowledge of sustainability and energy‑efficient design.
