Environmental Senior Project Manager

About the Role

The position is accountable for the successful delivery of environmental consulting engagements, including resource allocation, schedule coordination, and quality assurance, while fostering client relationships and supporting team performance. • Mentor junior staff and support overall team development. • Attend project meetings and resolve technical or administrative issues. • Market services and expand the client database. • Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, and oversee invoicing. • Schedule, train, and supervise subordinate staff members. • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects. • Oversee environmental projects and guide field staff in issue resolution. • Prepare and review proposals, change orders, and environmental reports. • Conduct peer reviews of deliverables for quality and technical accuracy. • Lead client discussions, address questions, and ensure successful project closeout. • Collaborate with other managers on staffing decisions. • Perform Phase I ESA assessments independently and review subordinate work.

What You Bring

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee projects from proposal through final invoicing, serving as the primary client liaison and upholding ECS core values. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering or environmental science discipline, possess at least five years of relevant experience, and preferably hold a PE or PG license. They should demonstrate deep knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and technical writing, as well as strong client development and delegation abilities.
