Job Highlights
About the Role
The role requires a planner with solid knowledge of the planning process, including applications, appeals, permitted development, policy frameworks and plan promotion. You will prepare appraisals, strategies and all documentation needed for development promotion, and support negotiations with planning authorities and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include supporting early consideration of site opportunities, preparing scopes of work and fee proposals, attending site visits, leading smaller projects and submitting planning consents, supporting directors on larger projects, engaging with stakeholders, delivering public‑engagement services, handling planning appeals and collaborating with socio‑economic, heritage and EIA specialists to provide end‑to‑end services.

What You Bring
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic team players with a can‑do attitude. Candidates should have private‑sector consultancy and/or local‑authority experience, a proven ability to deliver to a high standard, strong communication skills, a passion for sharing knowledge and a desire to learn and contribute to the team’s ongoing success. We are looking for candidates who are ideally IHBC and/or RPTI accredited, hold a degree in town planning (or equivalent), and demonstrate strong technical, analytical, collaborative, communicative and organisational skills. A commercial approach to planning consultancy, a desire to work in a growing team, drive and determination are essential.
