About the Role

• Measure and price works using contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities. • Handle post‑contract functions including payments, variations, correspondence, cash flows, and claims. • Provide contractual advice and ensure completeness and validity of requirements. • Advise on contractor resource allocation and audit contractor payments. • Submit and verify valuations; record measures of work performed. • Prepare variations, day‑works, and monitor final cost estimates. • Maintain expenditure records and negotiate claim settlements. • Coordinate and monitor the quantity surveying team’s activities. • Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accurate cost reporting.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor for its Qatar operations to lead accurate cost management, contract administration, and financial control on large‑scale infrastructure projects. The role involves applying engineering and construction expertise to ensure project budgets and contracts are efficiently managed. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, possesses at least ten years of experience on major infrastructure works such as roads, lighting, and utilities, and is registered with the MME. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills are essential for handling complex commercial and contractual matters. Preferred candidates bring consultancy experience, proficiency with quantity surveying software, and strong organizational and time‑management abilities. Familiarity with international construction standards and local regulations—particularly in the Middle East or GCC—and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams are highly valued. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. • Minimum 10 years’ experience on large infrastructure projects. • MME registration is required. • Knowledge of pre‑ and post‑contract administration. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities for commercial matters. • Consultancy experience (preferred). • Proficiency with quantity surveying software and tools. • Strong organizational and time‑management skills. • Familiarity with international standards and GCC regulations. • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
