About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist will serve as the technical lead for designing, building, and operationalizing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that drive business value. As the first data scientist on the team, this role will establish foundational data‑science capabilities, set standards, and collaborate with AI, Data & Analytics, and business stakeholders to translate complex problems into scalable, data‑driven solutions. Continuous learning, experimentation, and clear communication to both technical and non‑technical audiences are essential. • Design, build, evaluate, and iterate statistical, machine learning, and AI models using rigorous validation methods. • Develop, deploy, and operationalize advanced analytics solutions across the organization. • Document model assumptions, methodologies, experiments, and results for transparency and reuse. • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance in all analytical solutions. • Own and maintain the data science and ML development environment (e.g., Databricks, tooling, workflows). • Communicate insights, risks, and recommendations through visualizations and storytelling. • Lead end‑to‑end ML solution design with AI and D&A teams, from data exploration to monitoring. • Provide technical direction to Data Engineers and Architects to ensure data quality and scalability. • Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and large‑scale experimentation. • Support model operationalization, monitor performance, manage drift, and implement retraining strategies. • Translate business questions into analytical strategies and measurable outcomes.

What You Bring

• 6‑8+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or applied machine learning. • 3+ years hands‑on experience with Databricks or similar Spark‑based platforms. • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. • Proven ability to own solutions end‑to‑end from definition through deployment and optimization. • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and experimentation. • Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining production statistical and ML models. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for non‑technical audiences. • Familiarity with Azure data platforms, MLflow, Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, and MLOps pipelines (preferred). • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities with attention to detail. • Broad knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques and appropriate selection. • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending. • Frequent use of hands, computer systems, phone, and electronic communication devices.
