About the Role

The Strategic Buyer for the Rolls‑Royce Power Systems team will lead strategic sourcing for Power Generation project systems, ensuring cost‑effective procurement of materials, components and services throughout the project lifecycle and supporting business growth and operational excellence. The position collaborates closely with project managers, engineering, finance and operations to align procurement with project milestones, manage supplier performance, drive cost optimisation, and mitigate risks while complying with internal policies and legal regulations. • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for project‑related materials, systems and services. • Conduct supplier market analysis to identify innovation, cost‑saving and risk‑mitigation opportunities. • Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts and long‑term agreements. • Manage RFI/RFQ/RFP processes for project procurement scopes. • Collaborate with project managers, sales, engineering, finance and operations to align procurement with schedules and cost targets. • Integrate procurement planning into project timelines and support risk assessments. • Engage strategic suppliers early in project conception and design. • Build and manage a high‑performing supplier network, qualifying suppliers on capability, performance and capacity. • Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics, quality and delivery reliability. • Address supply issues proactively with corrective actions and maintain long‑term relationships. • Analyse cost structures and benchmark against industry standards to drive total cost‑of‑ownership improvements. • Identify and implement cost‑reduction initiatives across the project lifecycle. • Prepare business cases and purchasing reports for senior management decisions. • Manage contractual, commercial and supply‑chain risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. • Track global market trends, disruptions and technological innovations affecting sourcing strategies.

What You Bring

The role is based in Tukang, Singapore (West) and is open only to candidates with the legal right to work in Singapore. Candidates should hold a degree in a related field, have several years of procurement experience in a technical, project‑oriented environment, and possess proven expertise in sourcing diesel system enclosures and key components across Asia‑Pacific, especially Southeast Asia, with strong negotiation, supplier development and SAP skills. • Hold a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. • Possess several years of procurement experience in a project‑oriented, technical environment. • Demonstrated experience sourcing diesel system enclosure packagers, radiators, switchgear and control panels across Asia‑Pacific, especially Southeast Asia. • Strong skills in supplier search, development, technical requirement management, commercial negotiation and capacity planning. • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office; willing to travel internationally within Asia‑Pacific.
