About the Role
The Machine Operator I is an entry‑level position responsible for supporting daily production by operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment under close supervision. This role assists in loading programs, preparing machines, and performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure consistent and efficient operation. The position contributes to AAON’s production goals by maintaining quality standards, minimizing downtime, and following established safety procedures. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. Work is performed in an indoor manufacturing environment where safety, cleanliness, and efficiency are prioritized, with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals, and mandatory use of personal protective equipment. Since 1988, AAON has led the HVAC industry by designing and manufacturing highly configurable commercial and industrial equipment, aiming to deliver sustainability, efficiency, and long‑term value for customers. • Load production files and prepare machines for operation according to instructions. • Assist in setting up and adjusting equipment for daily production runs. • Monitor machine performance and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors. • Perform basic visual inspections to ensure product quality and consistency. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment. • Replenish materials and consumables needed for machine operation. • Work collaboratively with other operators and team members to meet production targets. • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment. • Document basic production data and support continuous improvement efforts.

What You Bring
The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing setting. • Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs. • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive motion throughout the shift. • Use fine motor skills and visual acuity for inspecting components and operating machinery. • Ability to operate a computer, mouse, and basic input devices. • Must be able to respond to visual and auditory machine indicators. • Exposure to loud noise, dust, and chemical fumes. • Required to wear PPE, including safety glasses, masks, gloves, and steel‑toed boots. • Position is safety‑sensitive and subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. • Compliance with all company safety and operational policies is mandatory.
