About the Role
The role performs preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds major components on vehicles and equipment, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective repair or replacement of components. Candidates must be able to commit to a prolonged stay in any part of the service area, and must be willing and able to travel as required. Work is performed in a repair/maintenance shop environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards and following established safety procedures. • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and promptly repair identified issues. • Diagnose and perform moderately complex repairs on assigned vehicles and equipment. • Use vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and assign repairs. • Estimate repair time and material costs, requisition parts, and notify supervisor of additional work or time overruns. • Inspect the quality of supplier repairs or rebuilds and assess structural damage for appropriate repair methods. • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls and perform vehicle safety checks. • Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to other maintenance personnel and may assume supervisory duties when unsupervised.

What You Bring
The position may require air travel or access to federal property; candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA-approved alternative. • Require at least four years of relevant experience; no formal education required. • Must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Must meet physical job requirements, pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, and possess the ability to operate repair tools and equipment. • Proficient in diagnosing defects, using fleet maintenance software, and familiar with the Total Tire Maintenance Program (if applicable).
