About the Role
Key responsibilities include delivering the Business Support Team’s reporting, reconciliations and month‑end statutory actuals, liaising with Defence HQ, Finance Service Centre and external auditors. You will support decision‑making through scenario analysis, lead forecast preparation, manage reporting packs and consolidate input into VBM, while maximising use of standardised models and ensuring compliance. You will actively work with finance business partners to drive process‑excellence improvements, contribute to the Finance Service Delivery Model and help prepare the business for growth and efficiency. • Produce and deliver BST reports, reconciliations, and month‑end statutory accounts promptly. • Coordinate with Defence HQ, Finance Service Centre and external auditors when required. • Perform scenario analyses to inform business decisions within set deadlines. • Oversee forecast cycles, manage timelines, compile reporting packages, and consolidate inputs into VBM. • Apply standardized models to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. • Partner with finance stakeholders to initiate and support process‑excellence improvements. • Aid the Finance Service Delivery Model to enhance organisational growth and efficiency. • Generate financial analysis and insights that drive performance improvement.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join the Rolls‑Royce Submarines Finance Business Support Team in Derby, working a full‑time hybrid pattern. The role involves providing financial analysis and insights to improve performance and support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred) with a degree or equivalent experience, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, cost accounting, SAP/HFM, contract review and business case preparation.
