About the Role

Key responsibilities include supporting the Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance in developing and implementing the Global Compliance Program across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with global standards and local legal requirements. The Counsel will monitor regulatory changes, provide ongoing training, and work with senior leaders to embed a strong ethics culture and a Speak‑Up environment. In the area of risk management, the Counsel will identify, assess, and manage compliance risks such as corruption, money‑laundering, conflicts of interest, and data privacy. They will lead risk‑based due‑diligence processes, collaborate on risk assessments, and support the implementation of corrective actions and preventive measures. The role also serves as the primary ethics and compliance contact for designated EMEA countries, offering timely, accurate, and pragmatic advice on government interactions, third‑party use, AML regulations, and due‑diligence issues. By partnering with regional leadership, the Counsel promotes a culture of integrity and ensures policies are integrated smoothly into business operations. • Support development and implementation of the Global Compliance Program across EMEA, aligning with global standards and local regulations. • Monitor EMEA regulatory changes and update the compliance framework accordingly. • Provide ethics and compliance training and communications to employees and management. • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks such as corruption, money‑laundering, conflicts of interest, and data privacy. • Lead risk‑based due‑diligence processes and coordinate corrective actions. • Serve as primary ethics and compliance advisor for designated EMEA countries, delivering pragmatic guidance on government interactions, third‑party use, AML, and due‑diligence matters. • Collaborate with regional leadership to foster a Speak‑Up culture and promote ethical behavior. • Draft, review, and integrate compliance policies and procedures into business operations. • Design and deliver targeted training sessions and awareness campaigns.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially experienced EMEA Ethics & Compliance Counsel to join our Global Ethics and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background focused on ethics and compliance, and will work closely with business leaders to navigate complex compliance matters with a calm, commercial approach. This role provides strategic guidance and oversees compliance with local laws, anti‑corruption, anti‑money‑laundering, and business ethics, requiring strong leadership and a proactive, pragmatic mindset. Candidates must have at least seven years of experience managing ethics and compliance programs or providing strategic advisory in areas such as anti‑bribery, AML, international trade, fraud, and third‑party management, along with a deep understanding of ABAC and AML laws across EMEA. A JD or equivalent legal qualification is required, with experience in a US‑based multinational preferred. Strong moral compass, excellent judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential. Fluency in English is required, and regional travel of up to 10% may be necessary.
