About the Role
The CAD design work includes preparing construction drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants, elevated storage tanks, pumping stations, and utility projects. Required drawings cover site plans, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, hydraulic profiles, mechanical plans, sections, and details of equipment, piping, supports, and instrumentation. Key responsibilities involve understanding project requirements, providing conceptual input during planning, and preparing detailed drawings using solid engineering knowledge. The designer will perform design tasks with minimal direction, coordinate with design teams and stakeholders, ensure deliverables meet professional standards through BIM/CAD quality control, and adhere to company CAD standards. Additional duties include acting as a liaison between CAD managers and users, supporting policy implementation, and participating in hiring, training, and mentoring of team members while fostering a collaborative environment. • Prepare construction drawings (site plans, P&IDs, hydraulic profiles, mechanical plans) for water and wastewater facilities. • Apply engineering concepts to create detailed layouts and perform design tasks with minimal supervision. • Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with CAD standards. • Perform BIM/CAD quality control, maintain drawing files, and support continuous improvement. • Act as liaison between CAD managers and users, assisting with policy implementation and new technologies. • Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring of team members.

What You Bring
The candidate must work well as part of a design team, communicate effectively, and exhibit a positive attitude, high attention to detail, a desire for quality work, and a strong work ethic. A short AutoCAD or Revit skills assessment may be required during the interview process. Qualifications include at least 8 years of broad engineering design and technical support experience, advanced expertise in CAD software, and proven problem‑solving abilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in BIM/CAD drafting and design and experience using Revit are preferred. • Bring 8+ years of engineering design experience and advanced CAD/Revit proficiency. • Hold at least a high school diploma; associate degree in BIM/CAD drafting preferred. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, collaborative communication, and a positive work ethic.
