Job Highlights
About the Role
The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line, performing duties that keep the operation efficient and safe. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and floor. • Stack and dump boxes, skids, and totes. • Load waste paper onto the conveyor. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting area. • Monitor machine start‑up and maintain proper speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment operation and maintenance. • Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. • Attend weekly and monthly safety/operations meetings.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least three months of relevant work experience, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role requires physical abilities such as climbing, balancing, repetitive motions, and coordination, and may involve working indoors, outdoors, or in inclement weather. • Preferred candidates have stable work history, manual labor experience, and waste‑industry experience (highly valued). • Required: at least 3 months of relevant work experience. • Preferred: high school diploma or GED. • Physical demands include climbing, balancing, sitting, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination; work may be indoors or outdoors in inclement weather.
