About the Role
This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. The role involves research, development, calculations, design and delivery in partnership with the project team, applying engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity. The position leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs, developing conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software. As a member of the team, you will contribute to successful project delivery for a diverse range of HNTB’s clients. • Assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications. • Conduct research, data collection, field investigations, and develop project designs. • Support preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations. • Help prepare project quantity and cost estimates. • Provide organization and administrative support for design files. • Complete assigned tasks within schedule and allocated work hours.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, and proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a strong interest in transportation and infrastructure are also valued.
