About the Role

The Assistant Maintenance Manager (AMM) oversees maintenance operations at a single site, ensuring the reliability and performance of engineering assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager, the AMM plays a key role in safety, operational excellence, and team development while supporting the client’s shared goals. Key responsibilities include championing a safety‑first culture through audits and metrics, leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs to meet KPIs such as PM completion and overall equipment effectiveness, supervising and coaching maintenance technicians, and acting as the on‑site point of contact for maintenance issues while coordinating with RME and Operations teams. The AMM must maintain 100% training compliance, keep accurate data in the CMMS, manage inventory health, warranty claims, and budget adherence, and ensure timely completion of work orders and issue tickets. • Champion safety‑first culture; conduct audits, track metrics, and resolve incidents promptly. • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to achieve PM completion rates and high OEE. • Supervise and coach maintenance technicians; hold regular 1:1 meetings and team huddles. • Serve as on‑site liaison for maintenance issues, coordinating with RME and Operations teams. • Maintain 100% training compliance and accurate CMMS data; manage inventory, warranties, and budgets.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications require at least three years of management experience overseeing maintenance teams and multi‑site operations, strong technical knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for electrical and mechanical equipment, and flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management, or related field (or five plus years of relevant experience), certifications such as CMRP or PMP, and expertise with conveyor systems and robotics used in logistics and fulfillment centers. Physical demands involve lifting up to 50 lb, crouching, kneeling, bending, walking 6‑12 miles daily across multiple floors, using aerial lifts or ladders, and wearing required personal protective equipment in varying warehouse temperatures. • Require minimum 3 years of management experience overseeing maintenance teams and multi‑site operations. • Proficient in electrical and mechanical preventive/predictive maintenance practices. • Available to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as operational needs dictate. • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years experience; certifications (CMRP, PMP); conveyor and robotics expertise. • Physical ability to lift 50 lb, walk 6‑12 mi daily, use PPE, and work in fluctuating warehouse temperatures.
