About the Role
The Senior Associate – Billing & Accounts Receivable role, based in Navi Mumbai and reporting to the Finance Manager, is responsible for accurate billing, cash application, bank reconciliation, and timely reporting while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure precise accounting. • Manage automated invoicing, ensuring accurate and timely generation and distribution of client invoices. • Perform manual invoicing for specialized transactions, verify details, and resolve discrepancies with internal teams. • Apply customer payments to outstanding invoices (cash application). • Conduct regular bank reconciliations. • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to ensure correct billing of products and services. • Maintain billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. • Investigate and resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies from clients or stakeholders. • Develop and implement billing procedures, workflows, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Generate billing reports and analyses, providing insights on trends, outstanding balances, and revenue recognition. • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting billing and invoicing. • Coordinate pilot compensation calculations, vessel operation expenses, and Time Charter hire charge billing with relevant authorities.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. • Possess 4–6+ years of finance and accounting experience. • Demonstrate effective communication in English and strong interpersonal skills. • Experience in shipping or logistics (desired). • Familiarity with NAV ERP system (desired).
