About the Role
The Business Analyst is a commercially focused role responsible for developing, analyzing, and supporting pricing strategies that drive new business acquisition, contract expansions, and portfolio profitability. The position blends pricing analytics, market intelligence, and financial modeling to enable data‑driven commercial decisions and acts as a strategic partner to Business Development, Operations, and Finance, evaluating cost structures, margin targets, service assumptions, and market conditions. In addition to pricing responsibilities, the analyst supports the accounting function by providing transactional support for the accounting cycle, understanding the impact of transactions on financial results, and delivering analysis for planning, forecasting, reporting, and audit requirements. • Provide analytical support for strategic, tactical, and operational pricing initiatives. • Develop pricing models assessing cost drivers, margin requirements, volume assumptions, and risk factors. • Evaluate commercial trade‑offs between price, service levels, and profitability to improve win rates. • Partner with Business Development and Operations to support bids, proposals, and expansion opportunities. • Prepare pricing inputs, commercial assumptions, and financial support for business cases and investment decisions. • Analyze historical performance and cost variances to refine pricing strategies. • Conduct margin, sensitivity, and scenario analyses to inform pricing decisions. • Integrate pricing assumptions into forecasting and prepare internal revenue and margin performance reports. • Support month‑end accounting cycle, variance analysis, and audit documentation for pricing and revenue data. • Identify inefficiencies and data gaps in pricing workflows and recommend scalable process improvements. • Contribute to the design and enhancement of pricing tools, templates, and governance frameworks. • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Business Development, and Systems teams to implement workflow enhancements. • Use Excel and pricing systems to translate complex financial outputs into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders. • Communicate pricing logic and financial impacts through summaries, variance explanations, and recommendation memos.
