About the Role
As an individual contributor, the position leads sourcing strategy for critical pole line and overhead distribution components in multi‑million‑dollar utility projects, aiming to secure high‑value materials, optimize supplier partnerships, and enhance cost, quality, and schedule performance. • Own and execute category strategies aligned with demand, technical requirements, and sustainability goals. • Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships for pole line and overhead distribution commodities. • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure timely, on‑budget material delivery. • Forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support S&OP alignment. • Onboard and qualify suppliers, monitor risk, and drive innovation. • Leverage market intelligence and spend analysis to reduce costs and increase value. • Travel to job sites and vendor locations for field operations and supplier oversight. • Utilize JD Edwards, Salesforce, and Coupa for sourcing execution, supplier onboarding, and procurement planning.

What You Bring
The Category Manager – Utility Pole Line Components role is fully remote, open to U.S. residents without visa sponsorship, and includes up to 20% domestic and international travel, supporting QISG/EnergyLink’s renewable EPC mission to design, build, and fund electrification assets. • Approximately 5 years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience in pole line, overhead distribution, or utility T&D projects. • Deep knowledge of pole line components such as conductors, insulators, poles, towers, grounding systems, line hardware, guying systems, crossarms, clamps, connectors, fasteners, hangers, hooks, and spacer cable hardware. • Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract execution, and performance management for high‑value infrastructure projects. • Hands‑on experience with ERP and procurement systems including JD Edwards, Salesforce, and Coupa. • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills to support strategic sourcing decisions. • Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, project, and construction teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; APICS, CSPM, or equivalent certifications preferred. • Willingness to travel up to 20% to project sites and vendor facilities as needed.
