About the Role
The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor to perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. All tasks are carried out according to the established standards, instructions, and procedures of the company. Typical responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing interior floors and other surfaces, as well as operating commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high‑dusting. Additional duties cover cleaning windowsills, interior glass, and designated windows, as well as washing glass and trim at entrance doors. Bathroom cleaning and restocking of paper supplies are performed daily, following standard procedures such as wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls and shelves, and scrubbing floors. The Cleaner also monitors for defects like clogged urinals or non‑functional lights, reports them to supervisors, collects building trash, replaces liners, and removes snow or ice from entrances and walkways as directed. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors and surfaces. • Operate commercial floor buffers, shampoo machines, and vacuum rugs. • Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, glass, and high‑dust areas. • Clean and restock bathrooms, monitor fixtures, and report issues. • Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners, and manage recycling. • Remove snow and ice from entrances and walkways as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, wood polishing, and wall washing. • Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate as a team. • Use cleaning tools safely, including backpack‑style vacuums. • Maintain attention to detail, high energy, and endurance.

What You Bring

No previous cleaning experience is required, but the ability to take direction and work independently is essential. Compensation is competitive, varies by location, experience, and other factors, and will not be less than minimum wage.
