About the Role

• Inspect bridge/highway construction, measure quantities, and document daily reports, photos, and sketches. • Oversee and coordinate construction inspection documentation. • Ensure work complies with NYSDOT specifications. • Apply project plans, company policies, standards, and specifications to make decisions. • Maintain project documentation and communicate with all project levels. • Coordinate on‑site activities and resolve work‑related problems.

What You Bring

• NICET Level II certification or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required). • Minimum 5 years experience in federally‑aided transportation construction inspection. • Experience with NYSDOT or municipal clients and knowledge of general/highway construction. • Valid driver’s license. • Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills. • Proficient with computers, software, and strong mathematics. • Ability to work outdoors on job sites for extended periods. • Experience with Appia and/or CEES; familiarity with NYSDOT MURK. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications.

Compensation for this role ranges from $31.00 to $41.20 per hour, depending on qualifications.
