About the Role
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray machines. • Prepare surfaces by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease, removing old paint and wall coverings, and filling and smoothing cracks and holes. • Identify the materials used in paint and select appropriate paint types for plaster, wood, brick, and metal. • Mix and match paints with a good eye for color. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.

What You Bring
The role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills in applying protective coatings to surfaces. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least eighteen years old, and possess good manual dexterity. Ability to judge colors is important, along with working knowledge of various application techniques, proper tool care, and safe handling of paint, solvents, and adhesives. The job also requires physical stamina to work for long periods with arms raised overhead.
