About the Role

The role focuses on preparing geotechnical reports that include analysis, recommendations, and a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines. You will manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects, review daily reports, resolve issues, and train field staff, while also preparing both geotechnical and CMT proposals, managing budgets, and handling change orders and invoices. Additional duties include preparing drilling packages, obtaining utility clearances, researching local geologic history, supervising field crews, classifying soils, and mentoring staff project managers and technicians. • Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis, recommendations, and deadline adherence. • Manage CMT projects, review daily reports, resolve issues, and train field staff. • Develop geotechnical and CMT proposals, control budgets, and issue change orders and invoices. • Lead or attend client meetings to discuss reports and provide technical solutions. • Prepare drilling packages, secure utility clearances, and research local geology. • Supervise drilling and test pit crews, handle rig access, classify soils, and coordinate lab testing. • Mentor Staff Project Managers, Assistant Managers, and technicians.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline, and have at least two years of relevant experience. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) designation is preferred, and a state professional license is required to use the license in the title; otherwise, the title "Manager" will be used. A valid driver’s license is also required for any driving duties on behalf of the company. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or related field. • Minimum two years of relevant experience. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred; state license required for title use. • Maintain a valid driver’s license for company vehicle operation.
