About the Role
This field‑based position requires travelling between client sites and includes a rotating on‑call duty each week. What You Bring
Arcus is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer in the Birmingham area to join our leading facilities management team. The role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio, ensuring top‑quality service delivery and providing first‑line response to emergencies. The ideal candidate holds a recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance, with the 18th Edition qualification as essential and additional certifications such as F‑Gas, Test & Inspection, or Unvented as desirable. Previous experience in a similar retail or commercial role is preferred, along with a valid UK driving licence, strong problem‑solving abilities, the capacity to work independently, and proficiency with IT tools for effective workload management. • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services/maintenance (18th Edition essential) • Desirable qualifications: F‑Gas, Test & Inspection, Unvented • Previous retail or commercial experience preferred • Valid UK driving licence • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently • IT proficiency and effective workload management

We offer a competitive salary of £35,834 or £41,210 depending on experience, full door‑to‑door pay, up to 4% performance bonus, and overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half.
