About the Role
As the first point of contact at a WM facility, the employee greets customers, directs traffic, calculates payments, checks loads for safety, and ensures compliance with safety rules and personal protective equipment. The role includes general upkeep of the scale house, administrative duties such as filing and reporting, and keeping the supervisor informed of any issues. Employees must attend company‑sponsored training, work overtime when needed, and handle additional duties like data entry and minor customer service tasks. • Greet and direct customers, answer questions, and calculate payments. • Verify incoming loads for safety and prohibited materials. • Enforce safety rules and ensure use of required PPE. • Maintain the scale house and perform administrative tasks such as filing and reporting. • Communicate issues to supervisor and attend required training. • Perform overtime, data entry, and other customer service duties as assigned.
