About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting high voltage substation works with a strong focus around safety and technical ability. You will be positive, with a strong work ethic and desire to work collectively as a team to complete works efficiently. • Test, commission, and maintain substation protection systems. • Compile test reports and as‑built documentation for all projects. • Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to commission protection schemes. • Support team compliance with SHEQ and technical standards. • Access leading‑edge technology and equipment.

What You Bring
The incumbent will be based in either the Auckland or Hamilton depot and will be working across the Auckland and Waikato regions. This is a full-time, permanent role at minimum 40 hours a week, 7am – 3.30pm with an hourly rate of 42-63/hr commiserate to protection experience. • Interpret protection scheme philosophy and operate Omicron or equivalent testing equipment. • Minimum 3 years experience with power assets. • Hold EWRB registration as an electrician or electrical engineer, preferably a practising licence. • Possess practical experience with HV, substation or power transmission (desired). • Demonstrate strong communication and computer literacy skills. • Maintain a valid driver’s licence.
