About the Role

The VDC/BIM Modeler develops, updates, and maintains 3D models for VDC projects, adhering to BIM standards and working with the coordination team to ensure constructability and alignment with prefabrication and field installation requirements. • Develop and maintain discipline‑specific 3D models using contract documents and field markups. • Update BIM models based on design changes, RFIs, and coordination feedback. • Apply company BIM standards, templates, naming conventions, and follow BIM Execution Plans. • Perform quality checks to ensure model compliance and readiness for export. • Collaborate with coordinators, detailers, engineers, and field teams to resolve clashes and align models with construction requirements. • Generate installation drawings, prefabrication sheets, and dimensioned views for construction workflows. • Support the manufacturing team to confirm modeled elements meet prefabrication requirements. • Troubleshoot modeling issues and provide BIM software support to team members.

What You Bring

Physical requirements include extended periods of desk work, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and occasional walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Clear verbal and written communication and visual acuity for reading documents and viewing computer screens are also required. • Possess 2+ years of modeling experience and proficiency in Revit (exposure to Navisworks/ACC preferred). • Hold a certificate or equivalent experience in modeling technologies or electrical field work. • Demonstrate accurate model population, BIM standards adherence, and basic clash detection. • Communicate detailed instructions verbally and in writing and work at a desk for long periods. • Lift up to 35 pounds and perform occasional walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

The position is located in Sacramento, CA (Rex Moore – Sacramento) and is a full‑time, day‑shift role with an hourly wage ranging from $30.53 to $46.25. Travel is negligible and the work is performed primarily in an office environment, with occasional travel to other office locations.
