Key duties include monitoring marine foundations, sheet piling, precast elements, scour protection, and concrete works, as well as verifying the installation of rock armoring, geotextiles, and underwater structures. The engineer will also coordinate with consultants, divers, survey teams, and environmental specialists to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and protection of marine life. • Inspect marine infrastructure such as quay walls, revetments, breakwaters, jetties, and marine utility structures. • Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and ITPs for compliance with specifications and UAE/Dubai authority standards. • Monitor construction of marine foundations, sheet piling, diaphragm walls, piling, precast elements, scour protection, and marine concrete works. • Verify installation of rock armoring, geotextiles, marine mattresses, and underwater structural components. • Ensure bathymetric levels, alignment, and tolerances are met for dredging, reclamation, and seabed preparation activities. • Inspect marine equipment, barges, cranes, and divers, confirming adherence to approved construction procedures. • Assess concrete mix designs, anti‑washout placement, curing, reinforcement, and formwork for marine structures. • Confirm that delivered materials (rocks, precast units, steel, HDPE pipes, coatings, etc.) meet project specifications and authority requirements. • Coordinate inspection activities with marine consultants, divers, survey teams, and contractors. • Liaise with environmental teams to enforce EIA requirements, marine life protection measures, turbidity control, and silt curtain installation. • Review and enforce marine navigation safety measures, imposing work restrictions during high tides, adverse weather, or unsafe conditions. • Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation. • Apply relevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, FROSIO) during field activities. • Travel to multiple project sites across the UAE and potentially internationally as required. • Adhere to Dubai Municipality and RTA Marine guidelines throughout all inspection tasks.
