About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform general upkeep in a commercial office setting, conduct regular facility inspections, and address repairs ranging from painting and carpentry to tile work. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision, the safe use of hand and power tools, and a solid understanding of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems while adhering to safety and compliance standards. • Inspect facilities regularly and identify any issues or repairs needed for proactive maintenance management • Repair or replace broken equipment, fixtures, or appliances to maintain optimal facility functionality • Install or assemble furniture, fixtures, and other items as needed for facility improvements and client requirements • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner while ensuring client satisfaction and operational continuity • Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, patching, carpentry, and tile repairs with attention to quality • Maintain inventory of tools and equipment while ensuring proper storage and availability for maintenance activities • Effectively use hand and power tools for various maintenance and repair tasks with focus on safety and efficiency • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity • Coordinate tool and equipment needs with management for adequate resources and operational support • Follow safety procedures and guidelines when performing all maintenance tasks to ensure workplace safety • Apply working knowledge of NFPA, ADA, and NEC codes for compliance with regulatory requirements • Maintain clean and safe work environment while implementing safety protocols for all activities • Ensure all maintenance work meets building codes and safety standards for comprehensive compliance • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards • Work effectively with third‑party contractors for coordinated maintenance and repair activities • Communicate maintenance needs and project status to team members and management for operational transparency • Support facility improvement projects through skilled maintenance and installation work • Apply electrical systems knowledge for basic maintenance while ensuring safety protocols • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) for work order processing and documentation • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance for facility management • Use Microsoft Office software for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes

What You Bring
• Apply working knowledge of building HVAC systems for basic maintenance and troubleshooting support • Understand fire protection systems for maintenance compliance and safety assurance • Utilize plumbing knowledge for minor repairs and maintenance of water and waste systems • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction • Proven experience as handyman, carpenter, or painter with demonstrated competency in multiple trades • Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks in commercial office environment • Multi‑trade experience with ability to handle diverse maintenance and repair challenges • Excellent problem‑solving skills for diagnosing and resolving facility maintenance issues • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely for various maintenance tasks • Working knowledge of building HVAC, fire protection systems, plumbing, and electrical systems preferred • Understanding of painting, patching, carpentry, and tile repair techniques with quality execution • Knowledge of facility maintenance best practices and industry standards • Strong attention to detail for quality maintenance work and compliance with standards • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities • Ability to work effectively with third‑party contractors and coordinate maintenance activities • Flexibility to handle various maintenance requests and changing priorities • Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for facility maintenance work • Knowledge of proper tool handling and equipment safety protocols • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) experience preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for documentation and communication • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration • Ability to document maintenance activities and communicate with stakeholders • Must be available for call‑in work and emergency response as required • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions • Certification in specific trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) • Experience with building automation systems and controls • Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance or corporate environments • Understanding of energy management and sustainability practices
