About the Role
As a Maintenance Engineer – Electrical/Mechanical for Robertson Facilities Management, you will maintain facilities to the standards set out in the FM agreement, perform planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance, and support on‑call coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The role requires safe working practices, accurate record‑keeping and collaboration with other RFM personnel to deliver contracted services. • Ensure facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the FM Agreement. • Perform planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance on lighting, power distribution, motors, pumps, fan coil units, HVAC control panels, fire alarm systems, and BMS control systems. • Conduct reactive repairs to all types of lighting and power distribution systems. • Carry out PAT testing and maintain safe operation of plant, equipment and tools. • Follow health, safety, COSHH, infection control, waste disposal and RFM policies and legislative requirements. • Maintain asset histories, maintenance records and help‑desk reports, notifying administrators or tradesmen of required follow‑up actions. • Participate in an on‑call rota providing 24 hr, 365 day coverage. • Provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel in delivery of contracted services.

What You Bring
The position requires an HNC/HND in a building services discipline or an M&E trade apprenticeship, CSCS certification and a proactive, flexible attitude. Robertson offers a varied project portfolio across sectors such as education, healthcare and commercial, and is an equal‑opportunity employer. • HNC/HND in a Building Services discipline or an M&E trade apprenticeship with project supervision experience. • CSCS card. • Experience managing M&E projects and subcontractors ranging from £50 k to £2 million. • Proactive, flexible, and motivated approach with strong health and safety awareness. • Proficient IT skills, analytical, planning and organisational abilities. • Strong relationship‑building, communication and presentation skills. • Experience in planning, programming and supervising high‑value projects, with financial/commercial awareness. • Knowledge of sub‑contractor and supply‑chain bases and technical trends in construction. • Experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, retail, commercial, refurbishments and design & build.
