About the Role

The Quality Inspector role supports nVent's commitment to top‑tier electrical and data center solutions by ensuring product quality and compliance with established standards. Working within a hard‑working team, the inspector plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and safety of the company's offerings. • Perform comprehensive product inspections using work instructions, checklists, and drawings. • Prioritize inspection tasks as directed by Operations Supervisors to meet departmental goals. • Identify non‑conforming products and create Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs). • Confirm that no active NCRs exist before finalizing product inspections. • Utilize precision and non‑precision gauges, meters, and measurement tools to assess compliance. • Operate a wide variety of test and measurement equipment and quickly learn new devices. • Apply quality system and ISO procedures, interpreting documentation for compliance. • Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, CMM, etc. • Plan workload, coordinate tasks, and work independently. • Perform basic math and geometry calculations as required. • Employ Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or G.E.D. and preferably bring at least one year of experience in quality processes and familiarity with Quality Management Systems. They are proficient with precision measuring tools, can interpret ISO procedures, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. Self‑direction, attention to detail, basic math, and competency with Microsoft Office are also essential. • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally across functional areas.

Compensation ranges from $17.20 to $31.90 per hour, determined by location, experience, and performance, with additional incentive opportunities.
