About the Role

• Foster a “Safety First” culture throughout the branch. • Conduct work in line with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s mission and initiatives. • Manage daily bid lists, review reports and plans, track bid assignments, and coordinate with detailing, production, and scheduling teams. • Follow up on quoted jobs to confirm award status and quotation acceptance. • Prepare and distribute contract routing sheets with all necessary customer details. • Produce and submit retail bids and small‑project estimates, ensuring timely pricing for customer accounts. • Negotiate sales of Nucor Rebar Fabrication materials for new construction contracts. • Secure all required drawings, credit, order information, and contacts after a sale to enable immediate work commencement. • Drive continuous process improvement and promote a culture of change. • Represent Nucor in local community engagements. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships. • Collaborate with other sales departments, regions, and support teams to meet business objectives. • Monitor rebar market dynamics and stay informed of price trends. • Inform the branch manager of market trends and share significant data with the commercial group across Northwest and Southwest locations. • Attend construction‑industry events in the sales territory to gather market intelligence. • Assist in resolving claims and disputes with customers. • Help with collection of payments when necessary. • Perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and handling equipment.

What You Bring

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Marketing or Business Administration or two years of sales‑related experience, reinforcing‑steel industry knowledge, strong verbal and written communication skills, and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office. The position may require extended hours during peak production and involves physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, and handling equipment. • Communicate issues and opportunities clearly in writing and verbally, providing recommended solutions. • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Hold a degree in Marketing/Business Administration or possess two years of sales‑related experience, preferably in reinforcing steel. • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. • Possess intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency. • Be prepared to work extended hours during peak production periods.
