About the Role
The Engineering Supervisor role is based at The Crown Estate on Regent Street, working Monday‑Friday with occasional shift support. It is a permanent position within BGIS, responsible for overseeing engineering activities across a high‑profile client portfolio. In this role you will provide hands‑on leadership to a team of day and shift engineers, conduct annual appraisals, ensure the team has the resources and information needed, and serve as the first point of contact for in‑hours shift issues and mechanical escalations. You will be accountable for site health and safety compliance, act as the authorised HV/LV person when qualified, enforce Permit to Work and LOTO procedures, and guarantee statutory, code and contractual compliance across all sites. Operational duties include monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring RAMS adherence, overseeing preventive maintenance schedules, managing reactive tasks and audits within CAFM systems such as Maximo or Concept, and supporting engineers with technical queries. You will liaise with the Area Contract Manager and Contract Support to maintain service levels, coordinate callouts with the helpdesk, produce weekly operational reports, and drive continuous improvement by maintaining asset registers, sourcing additional works, and investigating incidents. • Lead and develop engineering teams (day and shift engineers), conducting appraisals and providing direction. • Ensure health and safety compliance, act as authorised HV/LV person, and enforce Permit to Work/LOTO processes. • Oversee subcontractor performance, RAMS adherence, and safe working practices. • Manage preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules, reactive tasks, and audit documentation in CAFM systems. • Coordinate with Area Contract Manager, Contract Support, and helpdesk to resolve callouts and maintain service levels. • Produce weekly operational reports and escalate non‑approved works. • Maintain accurate asset registers, label equipment, source additional work, obtain quotes, and support procurement. • Investigate operational incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.

What You Bring
• Required: proven experience as Engineering Supervisor or Manager in building services with a mechanical/electrical/multi‑skill background. • Desired: experience in FM service delivery, performance management, appraisals, and people development.
