About the Role

Field Surveyors visit customer homes to collect precise measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data needed for solar designs. They assess roof conditions, electrical service panels, and property features using standardized tools, and perform ladder climbs, rooftop walks, and attic inspections as required. Survey data is submitted promptly via mobile field tools, and post‑installation inspections verify that systems meet approved plans, code, workmanship, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with installation teams and project managers to resolve inspection‑related issues, while providing thorough documentation such as photos, checklists, and notes. Surveyors communicate clearly with internal teams about access problems, delays, or discrepancies, maintain their tools and safety equipment, and represent Sunrun professionally during all customer interactions. Flexibility is essential; occasional weekends, extended shifts, or holiday work may be needed based on market demand. Surveyors participate in safety briefings, training, and field‑team huddles, and drive company‑provided or approved vehicles between job sites throughout the workday. • Visit customer homes to gather measurements, photos, and structural/electrical data for solar design. • Assess roof conditions, electrical panels, and property features using standardized tools. • Perform ladder climbs, rooftop walks, and attic inspections as needed. • Submit survey data promptly via mobile field tools. • Conduct post‑installation inspections to verify readiness for final AHJ or utility approval. • Ensure installed systems match approved plans and meet code, workmanship, and safety standards. • Collaborate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues. • Document inspection readiness with photos, checklists, and notes. • Communicate with AHJ and customers to schedule and discuss inspections. • Follow daily schedules across multiple locations and proactively plan work. • Report access issues, delays, or discrepancies to internal teams. • Maintain tools and safety equipment in proper condition. • Represent Sunrun professionally in all customer interactions. • Work occasional weekends, extended shifts, or holidays as needed. • Attend safety briefings, training sessions, and field huddles. • Drive company‑provided or approved vehicles between job sites. • Climb and work from 30‑foot ladders. • Navigate rooftops of varying slopes and materials safely.
