About the Role
During the internship, the individual will support multiple EHS projects, gaining experience in program development, process improvement, and regional implementation. • Lead the upgrade of Carrier’s electrical safety program, covering LOTO, arc flash controls, and contractor safety. • Assist with EHS initiatives tied to the 2026 Annual Plan, including program development and deployment. • Partner with the EHS Program Manager to drive process improvements and support KPI tracking, analysis, and reporting. • Collaborate with the Northeast Regional EHS Leader on program implementation, communications, and incident response. • Contribute to additional EHS projects and tasks as assigned.

What You Bring
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Internship supports Carrier’s Climate Solutions America Aftermarket EHS team, which manages the EHS Operating System across more than 175 field office locations in the United States and Canada. This project‑based internship offers hands‑on experience in field service and construction‑adjacent environments while addressing real‑world operational EHS challenges. The primary focus is to enhance Carrier’s Electrical Safety Program, including Lockout/Tagout, arc flash controls, contractor safety, and regional hazard assessments. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in EHS, engineering or a related field, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred attributes include knowledge of electrical safety or OSHA compliance, strong communication and analytical skills, ability to thrive in a decentralized setting, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, and self‑motivation to manage multiple workstreams. • Pursue a BS/MS in EHS, Engineering, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and U.S. work eligibility. • Demonstrate interest or foundational knowledge in electrical safety, LOTO, or OSHA compliance. • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. • Work effectively in a highly decentralized environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to support multiple workstreams simultaneously.

The position’s annual salary ranges from $36,750 to $127,500.
