About the Role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will act as the firm’s representative with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members, delivering design concepts, specifications, system narratives, and layout drawings across all project phases while ensuring interdisciplinary coordination and smooth construction administration. • Represent the firm with clients, contractors, architects, and project teams. • Create basic designs and develop specifications, system narratives, and layouts. • Establish design standards, specifications, and project criteria. • Supervise preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditions. • Maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades and consultants. • Monitor correspondence among staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Oversee construction administration tasks such as field reports, RFIs, bulletins, and addenda. • Conduct periodic employee evaluations. • Participate in the Technical Leadership Committee. • Assist the Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with training and staff mentoring.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, possess a PE license, and bring at least eight years of consulting experience in MEP engineering, including hands‑on CAD/Revit work and project‑management capabilities. The compensation range for this New York role is $106,568–$149,852, adjusted for experience and location. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Minimum 8 years of consulting experience in MEP engineering, preferably in critical facilities or data centers. • Project management experience, including leading internal design teams. • Proficient in hands‑on design and CAD/Revit.
