About the Role
The Operations Assistant works under direct supervision to provide clerical and administrative support to the operations department. This role helps keep daily processes running smoothly by handling paperwork, data entry, and routine communication. Key duties include reviewing container supply and demand reports, updating inventory and route information, and collecting on‑site container data. The assistant also responds to dispatcher, customer, and driver inquiries, reports safety or service concerns promptly, and maintains records for vehicle maintenance, accounting, and route sheets. Additional tasks involve preparing productivity and billing reports, assisting other departments such as customer service and accounting, and participating in driver de‑briefs and safety initiatives. • Review container supply and demand reports and update inventory management. • Input daily route information into the system and maintain on‑site container logs. • Respond to dispatcher, customer, and driver inquiries and complaints. • Report safety or service issues immediately to supervisors or managers. • Process operations data including vehicle maintenance, accounting, and route sheets. • Collect and review route sheets for proper billing and productivity reporting. • Assist in generating monthly productivity reports and support other departments. • Participate in safety programs and help with driver de‑brief processes. • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the operations team.
