About the Role

The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, supporting the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. This role also involves training and mentoring service and contract technicians. Daily duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting all conveyor systems, leading and auditing preventative‑maintenance procedures, and installing, maintaining and troubleshooting relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors and solenoids. The technician will create and close work orders with detailed data, maintain positive relationships across the Operations facility, develop training plans for service technicians, and devise work plans for emergency repair of critical assets. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Train and mentor service and contract technicians. • Promote a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures. • Perform preventative‑maintenance audits and troubleshoot conveyor systems. • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components (sensors, motor starters, solenoids, etc.). • Create and close work orders, documenting labor hours, maintenance activities and parts used. • Develop training plans and emergency‑repair work plans for critical assets. • Maintain positive relationships across the Operations facility.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, three or more years of preventative‑maintenance experience, three years of blueprint and schematic reading, and at least two years of work‑order management. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five years of experience with automated conveyors and controls, leadership and vendor‑management experience, robotic maintenance, CMMS proficiency, and apprenticeship experience. • Travel up to 20 % and work shifts of up to 12 hours, lifting up to 49 lb. • Required: high school diploma, 3+ years preventive‑maintenance, 3 years blueprint reading, 2 years work‑order management. • Preferred: associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical, 5+ years automated conveyor experience, leadership, vendor management, robotic maintenance, CMMS proficiency.
