About the Role
Interns will assist with LEED documentation, embodied carbon assessments, and the development of sustainable product selections, while also contributing to daylight and energy modeling. They will engage with project teams, clients, and consultants to translate sustainability goals into actionable design solutions and stay informed on emerging green technologies and regulations. • Support sustainability consulting engagements for diverse clients and projects. • Document and coordinate LEED Design and Construction credits across rating systems. • Conduct embodied carbon assessments for interiors and whole‑building projects. • Facilitate client and design team meetings on product selection impacts. • Provide guidance on sustainable product selection and technical support. • Contribute to daylight modeling, energy analysis, and resource efficiency studies using Climate Studio. • Research federal, state, and local regulations, incentives, and emerging green technologies. • Utilize LEED Online, third‑party product databases, and design tools such as Revit, Ladybug, and Climate Studio.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant degree program (sustainable building, architecture, engineering, interiors, etc.) and have completed at least their third undergraduate year or first graduate year. The role requires knowledge of healthy building materials, embodied carbon research, and certification processes, as well as strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. • Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable materials, certifications, and embodied carbon research.

Benefits
The Summer Climate Action Internship in New York is a full‑time, paid position on the Climate Action & Sustainability team, running from June 2 to August 7, 2026. Interns will work on‑site, supporting sustainable consulting services and climate‑action strategies for a variety of projects, from commercial interiors to large‑scale building portfolios.
