About the Role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will support multiple software products and brands—including Lender, CoStar Suites, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com, and Ten‑X—from an office in Arlington, VA, following a hybrid schedule of four days onsite and one day remote. • Automate and manage infrastructure for high‑traffic web platforms using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) on AWS/Azure/Google Cloud. • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple product teams. • Configure and optimize load balancers (F5 LTM), CDNs, and monitor system performance with APM tools. • Develop scripts and automation in PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy. • Collaborate with cross‑functional IT and business teams; mentor junior staff and assist with hiring and onboarding.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, at least five years of experience managing high‑traffic web sites, and expertise with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible), infrastructure‑as‑code platforms (Terraform, CloudFormation), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). The role also requires hands‑on experience with F5 load balancers, enterprise monitoring (APM, synthetics, RUM), heavy scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Groovy), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and CDN configuration. Preferred but not required skills include a developer background in Java, C#, Python, or Node.js, familiarity with serverless architectures, PCI compliance knowledge, mobile application support, REST API or microservices development, and experience working in Agile sprint cycles. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant DevOps experience. • Proficient with Chef, Puppet, Ansible; experienced with SQL and NoSQL databases. • Preferred: programming in Java, C#, Python, or Node.js; serverless architecture; PCI compliance; mobile app support; REST API/microservices; Agile methodology.
